The 2000 Year Epic Campaign
Black Bear Clan
The Black Bear Clan is one of many human tribes that lived in or around Jayt Valley of the Kaninin Mountains. The Black Bear Clan is one of the most notorious and aggressive human tribes in the land, often clashing with the other tribes. Long ago, the Red Hawk Tribe were enslaved by the Black Bear until Nargoth led a revolt and broke away from the clan once and for all.
Session #1 (1st Era) – the Black Bear Clan had captured Malik, son of Reshk, while he was scouting in the Jayt Valley. The rest of the Three Feathers rescued him from his captors before exited the Kainin Mountains for good.
Session #1.5 – After decades of not hearing anything from the Black Bear Clan they came back in the most sinister ways. During a relatively small attack from the Doombringer Orcs, members of the Black Bear Clan snuck into the village of Elon and stole the sacred relic known as the Staff of Kree-e-ar. Thankfully an elite group of the Spirit of the Hawk chased the thieves down before they got too far away and retrieved the staff. Most disturbing about this act was the possible alliance between the Black Bear Clan and the Doombringer Orcs.
Session #2 (2nd Era) – The Champions of Elon found the town of Nigrum Ursus, where the Black Bear Clan now reside, while on their exploration of the world while commanding the Chaytan. Fortunately, they had a token that would allow they free entry into the town.
Session #3 (2nd Era) – The Champions were not in town long, they slowly gained the respect of Captain Berend for their helpful actions within the city. They were witness to a group of Doombringer Orcs who came in to meet High Chieftain Shadak. Shortly after this, the High Chieftain banned the Champions from the city, revoking their pass.
Session #5 (2nd Era) – The Black Bear Clan’s name came up when the Grey Fox Tribe informed the people of Elon that the Doombringer Orcs were on the march, heading for the city of Nigrum-Ursus to exact revenge on their dealings with them in the past, before setting their sights on the rest of Brind-Amor.
Session #6 & 7 (2nd Era) – The Battle of Nigrum-Ursus was costly on their Black Bear Clan, but they, along with the other Coalition Forces, were able to prevail against the Doombringer Orcs and Urzog the Conquerer.
Transition from 2nd to 3rd Era – The people here remain the same, most other places think of them are rude and full of themselves. But they have served the Brind-Amor Confederacy staunchly, and one of their own, Esbjorn Broske sits as the Lord of Brind-Amor.
