Doombringer Orcs

The Doombringer Orcs get their name from the war drums they play when they are on a war march. The slightest hint of the sound is known to scare any non-orc in all of Brind-Amor.

The Doombringer Orcs reside near the center of the Kainin Mountains around Mount Kharghed, named after Kharghed the Invinsible, and orc chieftain. They have been known to make excursions into the lower hills to slaughter and rampage through anything in their path.

The orc follow a circular path of evolution. The many minor tribes of orc unite together and become a unstoppable force, they rain down from the mountains destroying everything in their path. Eventually the start to splinter, turn on each other, and the survivors eventually retreat to the safety of the Kainin Mountains. Doombringer.jpg

Session #1 (1st Era) – The Doombringer Orcs are once again organized under a single banner and are on the war path. The Red Hawk Tribe fell in their path and only a heroic effort by chieftain Reshk, allowed a majority of the Red Hawks to survive. The orcs had caught back up to the Red Hawks as they crossed the Treagir River and exited the Kainin Mountains. The Red Hawks also learned that the Great Stag had suffered heavy casualties from the orcs before merging with the Red Hawks.

Session #1.5 (1st to 2nd Era) – Nothing is really known about the Doombringer Orcs since the Age of Retreat from the Kaninin Mountains. However, about 20 years ago a small force of the Doombringers mounted an attack on the village of Elon. While the Elon Devout easily fended them off, the village was unaware of a surprise attack on the Black Bear Clan who stole the Staff of Kree-e-ar. This is the first evidence of a possible alliance with the Black Bear Clan.

Session #3 (2nd Era) – A group of Doombringer Orcs were seen in Nigrum Ursus by the Champions of Elon while they visited the Black Bear Clan city. Tension was high for the orcs as well as the guards. Presumably they met with High Chieftain Shadak in the keep.

Session #5 (2nd Era) – A few years after the Champions of Elon returned home, the Grey Fox Tribe informed them that the Doombringer Orcs have united under the banner of Urzog the Conqueror and had set their sites on Nigrum-Ursus seeking revenge from the Black Bear Clan before bringing the rest of Brind-Amor under their control.

Session #6 & 7 (2nd Era) – Led by Urzog the Conquerer, the united tribes of the Doombringer Orcs marched on the city of Nigrum-Ursus, seeking revenge for dealing with them in the past. The Coalition Forces, acting on a warning from the Grey Fox Tribe, was able to band together and help defend the city and smash the invaders despite having their walls breached in several areas.

Transition from 2nd to 3rd Era – In Year 1 of the Red Comet, Zurgha the Prevailer led another attack on Nigrum-Ursus which was also quickly put down by the Brind-Amor Confederacy. Also of note, was a very small trickle of orcs leaving the ways of the Doombringer behind them and joining the Elon Devout. These few, the Six, have served with honor in that organization to this day.

Session #8 (3rd Era) – As a sign of progress in Brind-Amor, two orcs serve aboard the Sea Word. The first is* Un’Goro (played by Lou)* who is the Boatswain and the other is a junior officer by the name of Orugash the Gallant.
