Kilela Fruit

Kilela fruit is found predominantly in the Jayt Valley and is a prized possession of the Red Hawk Tribe for his medicinal properties. Whenever there is some down time for the tribe, villagers will search for these fruit. All warriors of the tribe usually carry a couple of these on them at all times.

Kilela fruit is bitter to the taste but it heals 1d4 hit points when eaten (as a standard action). However, it is difficult to eat multiple Kilela. Eating a second one within an hour of the first will prompt a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a fail, the person will throw up the fruit and gain no benefit from it. Once failed, you must complete a long rest before you can attempt to eat another one.

Some people believe you can gain a resistance to its bitterness, that you just need to keep eating them to build up a tolerance.

Kilela Fruit has been known to grow in very small areas in completely different ecosystems around the world. Known patches of this fruit include Ao’s Well and the Dreq Marsh.

Session #1.5 – The people of Elon have been fortunate to find Kilela fruit in some of the neighboring foothills near their village but not to the same abundance as the Jayt Valley. Those returning from The Pillar will sometimes load up on the fruit before returning.

Session #8 (3rd Era) – A crew of the Sea Word took a few crates full of Kilela fruit with them as they set sail into the Great Sea.

Session #10 (3rd Era) – For their help with the rat problem, the farmers of Ao’s Well gave the crew of the Sea Word several crates of Kilela Fruit, which grows on this island.
