The Pillar

The Pillar lies in the Jayt Valley of the Kainin Mountains, where the Three Feathers led the Red Hawk Tribe to safety from the ever encroaching Doombringer Orcs. The tribe shaman received a vision of this strange and foreign object and easily spotted the trees from where is was hidden. As they investigated the area, the tribe was subjected to an attack by the legendary Scourge. After it was defeated the tribe was able to find and secure the relic known as the Staff of Kree-e-ar.

Session 1.5 – Over the years The Pillar has come to be known as a holy sight for arcane studies. Those of the village of Elon that are born Enchanted come here to learn what they can of the arcane scriptures written all over it.

Rumors have been heard of a second pillar located somewhere in Brind-Amor, possibly within the Hilthe Mountains.

Session #2 (2nd Era) – During an excursion into Vaul Marsh, an arcane disturbance was felt that was similar to those felt around the Pillar. However instead of being strong and steady, it fluctuated wildly in the marsh.

Session #4 (2nd Era) – When the Champions of Elon visited the Hilthe Mountain Dwarves capital of Dhom Kharn-Thorrim, they saw another Pillar located just inside the mountain city. An exchange was worked out with the Merchant King for both sides to get a chance to examine and learn from the other Pillar.

Session #5 (2nd Era) – Now that the Champions of Elon found four pillars in Brind-Amor, details concerning them are all listed under their individual page:

Session #10 (3rd Era) – The crew of the Sea Word met with Wilhik Rovelcast in the town of Binable on Geargrind Island, who was an expert in Pillars while he worked in the Decius Empire. The two sides were able to exchange information about Pillars. Wilhik had only seen red pillars in Decius while he had never heard of the blue ones like on Brind-Amor.

The two sides compared notes and found that inside the pillar, outside of the number system, the only symbol they both recognized was the letter Helios.

Last, Wilhik mentioned that Emperor Gavenius wields the longsword, Last Rites, which is an artifact from a Pillar.

Session #11 (3rd Era) – When the Sea Word crew found a Jewel of the Pillar in the shipwreck of the Aluredes, they returned to talk to Wilhik about it. While he has never seen a Pillar in the Styrc Isles, he had always suspected that one existed here considering the overall layout of the Pillars.

Session #12 (3rd Era) – The Master Tinker showed the Senior Officers the Geargrind Island Pillar which the gnomes have little to no knowledge of. It was a blue pillar, and with the Jewel of the Pillar recovered from the Aluredes shipwreck, he was able to power it up and briefly return to Brind-Amor. There he learned of the disappearance of the arcane researcher Tinesia and the Council of Elder’s decision to shut Brind-Amor pillars down for the most part.

Session #15 (3rd Era) – While liberating a dragonegg hatchery, the senior officers of the Sea Word discovered their first Red Pillar. Similar but on a different line from the Blue Pillars.

Session #26 (3rd Era) – While in Durn Khete-Tymir, the group discovered that they were probably the creators of the pillars and the jewels to power them.
